Online Bus Ticket Booking from Mumbai to Pune
Pune is between 160 and 180 km from Mumbai by road, depending on your point of starting in Mumbai. The Mumbai-Pune section of National Highway Number 4 is the busiest in the country and often has terrible traffic jams that extend tens of kilometers. This is especially so in the monsoon months. The new six-lane expressway connecting the two cities is the shortest road link.
Mumbai:
About: Mumbai, a cosmopolitan metropolis, earlier known as Bombay, is the largest city in India and the capital of Maharashtra state. Mumbai was originally a conglomeration of seven islands on the Konkan coastline which over time were joined to form the island city of Bombay. The island was in turn joined with the neighboring island of Salsette to form Greater Bombay. The city has an estimated metropolitan population of 21 million (2005), making it one of the largest cities (ranked by population) in the world.
Places to Visit: By Indian standards, Mumbai is a young city and much of the land comprising the city did not exist until it was claimed from the sea over three centuries ago. It is therefore, a pleasant surprise to find rock cut caves such as the Elephanta, Kanheri, and Mahakali within city limits.
- Museums and Galleries: The Kala Ghoda area in South Mumbai teems with them, particularly the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (Prince of Wales Museum), and the National Gallery of Modern Art. Once again, most of them are concentrated in South Mumbai. Also worth planning a visit is Jehangir Art Gallery, also at Kala Ghoda, displays changing exhibits by notable artists.
- Beaches: Girgaon Chowpaty in South Mumbai, Juhu beach in the western suburbs and Aksa Beach in Malad.
Zoos, parks and gardens: The city zoo (Veermata Jijabai Udyan) is in Byculla and is a colonial relic which is surprisingly well-preserved. The "Hanging Gardens" on Malabar Hill offers stunning vistas of the Marine Drive. Further in South Mumbai, the Mumbai Port Trust Garden, is another hidden gem. This is set off a small side street off the Colaba Causeway 2-3 kms south of the main section. Once again, lovely views of the port, the naval yards, and sunset.
Pune:
Pune, also known as Punya-Nagari, is the eighth largest metropolis in India, the second largest in the state of Maharashtra after Mumbai, and the largest city in the Western Ghats. Once the center of power of the Maratha Empire, it is situated 560 metres above sea level on the Deccan plateau at the confluence of the Mula and Mutha rivers. Pune city is the administrative capital of Pune district.
Pune is known to have existed as a town since 937 AD. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire, lived in Pune as a young boy, and later oversaw significant growth and development of the town during his reign. In 1730, Pune became an important political center as the seat of the Peshwa, the prime minister of the Chhatrapati of Satara. After the town was annexed to British India in 1817, it served as a cantonment town and as the "monsoon capital" of the Bombay Presidency until the independence of India.

How To Clean USB Ports
It is likely that you're using one right now as you read this. If not, then as a computer user it is probably something that you likely use almost daily. Yes, I am talking about the humble USB slot - the input taken for granted by those who grew up in the digital age. USB was invented in 1996 but computers didn't always have them. In fact, they only started to become a standardized method of input in '98 when the 1.1 version was released upon consumers.
Universal Serial Bus (USB) is ideal as unlike the prior serial and parallel ports, they channel electricty toperipherals and as such, no extra power is required to get PC components such as mice, keyboards and webcams (etc) to work. Because so many peripherals use USB connection today, a lost input cable for a device is less of a problem than ever, as these are often interchangeable.
If you do not take care then USB input ports can easily become damaged and/or broken beyond repair. This can be problematic if your laptops only input are its USB slots. Follow these precautions to ensure that your ports continue to work in perfect order for as long as possible:
- Be very careful to not knock, bash or hit the USB input jack/s of any computer hardware while it is connected to your computer as this can bend or break the endpoints of your device or host controller (the computer).
- Using a can of compressed air can aid the safe a speedy removal of unwanted debris out of USB ports. You can even get USB shaped cleaning devices from retailers if money is not a problem.
- If you do not have a can of compressed air, than you can keep the USB ports of your computer/laptop clean using a dry cotton bud. Dust and dirt can interfere with the quality of the connection between the host and device. As a safety precaution ONLY DO THIS WITH THE COMPUTER UNPLUGGED!
- Using a cotton bud on USB endpoints of your peripheral is also a useful idea as these get dirty too.

Environmental Injustice at the EPA, Part II (Powerlineblog)
(John Hinderaker) I wrote yesterday about the Obama administration's push for
"environmental justice." The Environmental Protection Agency under Lisa
Jackson has made the movement a priority, even though the agency has no
statutory authority to enforce standards of environmental justice, assuming
that such standards could even be defined. The danger, of course, is that the
EPA will exercise powers it doesn't legally possess by threatening companies
that are subject to its regulations
