Upgrading of Drivers
A multimedia audio controller driver is a piece of computer software which acts just like an orchestra conductor, in that it tells the multimedia system audio controller, or sound cards, how to play the tunes and other tones you want to hear through your speakers. In geek speak these software modules which control the various hardware components in your computer, of which your multimedia system audio controller is one, are called "drivers" in that they "drive" the hardware much as you would drive your car - keeping it in between the white lines as well as at the speed limit.
A "sober" driver is a good driver.
Occasionally however, the road changes, in the form of OS upgrades for instance, and you need to find an updated multimedia audio controller driver. Another scenario is when the hardware manufacturer has rewritten the multimedia audio controller driver to better optimize the sound card, or to fix bugs in the original driver. In these instances, installing the right multimedia audio controller driver is crucial. If you make the mistake of seeking your own driver upgrades and installing the wrong one, the driver upgrade you choose may be DUI, which can result in a C-R-A-S-H, which could very well destroy your sound card. Even if it doesn't break your computer, at the very least you won't hear that beautiful music.
The maestro is in the hall, and he is a robot! This robot won't yell "Danger!" or answer the door for you. Rather, it's a computer software program that automatically queries the hardware on your PC.
While many end users are proficient with driver upgrades, many are not. Hence the utility of a product like Driver Robot. It is written specifically to insure that your PC hardware is running at its best by making sure that your drivers are correct. That includes guaranteeing optimal sound. If, for instance, you're hearing "snap, crackle, pop" while playing your video games, it could well be that your multimedia audio controller driver needs an upgrade. Driver Robot will compare the information gleaned from your sound card to the world's largest driver database to determine whether or not the correct and latest multimedia audio controller driver is in fact operating your sound card.
A program for performing driver upgrades needs to be sophisticated and automated. Driver disks get lost sometimes. Drivers themselves become obsolete, or undergo incremental improvement by the manufacturer - this is especially true when it comes to multimedia. Driver Robot is an essential product which can and will automate driver upgrades, guaranteeing that your multimedia audio controller driver provides the best possible performance from your sound card at all times.

Is a SATA 3.0GB/s hard drive compatible with a SATA 1.5/s controller card?
I ordered these two products off of Newegg.com in the last few days, but I soon realized that the SATA transfer rates weren't the same. So I'm just wondering if they're still compatible?

In general, yes, SATA 300 drives are backwards compatible with SATA 150 interfaces. A few models have to be jumpered for 150 mode, most don't have to be.
(BTW it's a theoretical 1.5 or 3.0 Gigabits -- Gb not Bytes GB)
Rage against the (console) machine (Extremetech)
Over the past week, I’ve done something I’ve never done before: played a new
video game before it’s released to the general public on a console, rather
than a PC. And part of me hopes I never have to do it again.
