Note that direct input is almost necessarily absolute, but indirect input may be either absolute or relative. For example, digitizing Graphics tablets that do not have an embedded screen involve indirect input and sense absolute positions and are often run in an absolute input mode, but they may also be setup to simulate a relative input mode where the stylus or puck can be lifted and repositioned.

Actually these are not that hard to think up. You just need to think about situations where one decision you make will affect some other different thing happening to you.

The classic example is, you choose how many hours to spend studying (your "input"), and that will determine your final exam score (your "output"). How ever many hours you put "in" will affect the test score you get "out" of it.

Or, like, your input (decision) could be how many boxes of cereal you buy. Then the output (the consequence) would be how much they come to when you get them rung up.
