How to get lan drivers for my Acer Aspire E380?
I reformated and installed xp because vista was driving me batty. I pulled the wireless adapter off my old pc so I can go to acer's website to download the drivers. I tried both open and save option. Either way all it is is a folder that says lan then have 4 seperate folders. I look in all the folders for a setup file there is nothing! I also tried going into the device manager and chose update drivers for windows to search of it and it can find it. I also tried the reinstall option same thing can't find it. So now I'm stuck w/ the wireless card from my old pc and a useless nic on my brand new pc. Please help!
My recovery disks are for vista. The drivers on Acer's website doesn't work. There is only one exe file in there and it does nothing! Im so screwed...
Dig through your room and try to find the recover disk, if you wiped without making one then doh >.<
I know every Acer I've ever sold prompts you to burn a recovery image when you first boot it until you either disable that prompt or burn the recovery disk. That disk should take you back to factory settings...if your comp is REALLY new and the recovery disk is for vista then that sucks. If you downloaded the drivers, the setup file will most likely be something.exe --> usually a white window with a blue bar across the top. Good luck
