How do I install a 9 pin serial PCI card myself? Is there any software that needs to be loaded with it?

I would think the drivers would already be installed. And, the card should have come with a driver disk. Turn off the computer, unplug it, open the case, stick in the card, close the case, plug it in, turn it on, see what happens. You might be able to download a new driver from the maker of the card. Read all instructions before doing anything. Sometimes you need to install the driver first...but not usually. Windows is good about finding drivers for typical cards.
