Advice on hardrive setup?

Hey all!

I'll get right to it ;)

I have a 1tb sata2 drive : that I'm using as media storage
a 250g sata2drive in a heatsink enclosure that has windows installation
and also have a 360g udma IDE drive blank.

What would be my best setup to take advantage all drives?
Redundancy, performance options? I have no raid controller inboard
and I've heard bad things about software versions

any and all help much appriecated :)

Not sure if you mean the 250g drive is an external drive I am assuming it is... It also greatly depends on the system your installing them into. I would install the 360g as the primary Hard Disk Drive and install the Windows O/S on there and then configure your 1TB and 250 Gb sata hard disks for your file and media storage. I would leave the 360 drive with just windows on it and install all applications and software on the other drives... thus windows has a drive to itself and should perform more efficiently for longer.
